Following the world première of the documentary film “Depth 2” by Ognjen Glavonić at the 66th Berlin International Film Festival, there will also be premières in Serbia, particularly in Subotica (March 15th) and Pančevo (March 16th).
In Subotica, the film will be screened at the Film Club of the Open University, at 20:00h. A discussion will be organized following the film screening, with the author Ognjen Glavonić and the Director of the Humanitarian Law Center, Sandra Orlović. The discussion will be moderated by Petar Mitrić, a Selector for the official selection at the Palić European Film Festival. The film describes the events of 1999 in which the Serbian authorities organized the concealment of the bodies of Kosovo Albanians – victims of war crimes – in mass grave sites in Batajnica. Politika daily has described this film as an experimental documentary-elegiac thriller, which represents a 'specific [..] visual memorial for the victims of a crime committed in Kosovo in 1999, which is still, 17 years later, considered to be a public secret in Serbia”.
In Pančevo, the film will be screened at the Youth Centre at 20:00h. Ognjen Glavonić, artist Vladimir Miladinović and Sandra Orlović will discuss the film following the screening. The discussion will be moderated by Jelena Stojković, Film and Visual Arts Director at the Centre for Cultural Decontamination.
“Depth 2” film was co-produced by Non-Aligned Films and the Humanitarian Law Center.
